Riding motorbikes for over 40 years I count myself very lucky to have lived through the golden era of 2-strokes, through the water-cooled revolution, right up to the cutting edge technology of modern motorcycles.
For The Love Of Racing
I was about 10 years old when I saw my first motorcycle race so I started young so I started young. My most memorable moments were seeing ‘King’ Kenny Roberts take the Transatlantic Trophy Races and the world of racing by storm. Great races that pitted riders from the UK and Europe against the best racers that America had to offer. Barry Sheene and Kenny Roberts battled in race after racehey were however often overshadowed by new up and coming riders. People like Wayne Rainey learnt the racecraft that would propel him to the very top. ‘Rocket’ Ron Haslam showed everyone the sheer grit and determination he became so famous for, and ‘Fast’ Freddie Spencer began his climb to the pinnacle of racing.
An Eclectic Collection
Over the years my collection of bikes has grown and there are always some new projects on the bike stand. My artistic side has drawn me to Italian bikes and I am lucky enough to own and ride 2 Laverda 750 twins and a Cagiva W12 among my other bikes. My beloved Vstrom has served me well for over 10 years now and I can’t imagine ever selling it. I ride a Harley FXDX, a Triumph Daytona 955i and have 2 Yamaha FZR1000 Exup’s. One of my all time favourite bikes is my Honda CB700SC Nighthawk S. My next project is a CBR1100XX Super Blackbird, but there are others and I don’t rush.
30 Years Experience
As an artist I have worked on catalogues and promotional literature for numerous companies and promotors. Biker friends saw the potential for creating T-Shirts from those designs and I have been creating them ever since. I started printing in the 90’s with a 4 colour carousel screen printer. With the advent of Digital Printing and Print on Demand services I have built a portfolio of designs to rival anything available worldwide.
